The Sedalia Center is a regional non-profit organization that’s designed to “ignite and nourish the creative process by offering programs in the arts‚ culture‚ environmental awareness‚ health‚ and inner development.” The Center sponsors a series of annual events that incorporate and showcase Southern Appalachian music and dance traditions. The Sedalia Center’s annual Chili Cook-Off is a popular local event where festival-goers are able to taste a variety of homemade chilies while enjoying bluegrass music.
