Beginning the first Wednesday after the fourth of July‚ “Bluegrass in the Park” is held for 8 consecutive Wednesdays at the outdoor Bandstand at Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton. This free event is hosted and funded by the City of Stanton. Concessions are provided by the Lion’s Club which includes their famous homemade funnel cakes! This traditional bluegrass concert series has been ongoing for over 10 years and is set in a stunning‚ outdoor setting.

Directions:
From the EAST Take Interstate 64 to Staunton‚ then exit north on Interstate 81 and get off of exit 222. Veer right off the exit. Continue straight‚ past Walmart‚ past Martins‚ till you come to the bottom of a hill at a light. At this light go right onto Greenville Ave but stay in the left RIGHT lane. At the next light‚ go left onto Johnson St. Go right at Augusta St. Take a left onto Churchville Avenue before the Library. Continue straight till you see the gated park entrance‚ go left into the park. From the WEST Take Route 250 west to Staunton‚ turn right (south) on Grubert Avenue. At the T-intersection (near Big Lots) turn left onto West Beverly Street. Turn Left onto Thornrose Ave‚ stay straight on this road till you intersect with Churchville Avenue. Go left into the park at the gated entrance onto Constitution Drive.
